Let
Us Warn Others
The devil knows
power of exposure. The
devil knew the power of suggestion. He used it on Eve. Why does the devil want the 10 commandments removed from the courts? And why does he want to take prayer
out of school? He knows the power of hearing the word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the
word. (Romans 10:17) He tries to steal the word away from us. He is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
(John 10:10)
We can learn to be as wise as serpents
and as gentle as doves. How? By learning how to speak the truth (the law) in love. It can be done. If the first century church did it, so can we. If Paul did it, so
can we. If Peter did it-the one who wavered and denied Jesus three times before the the rooster crowed, if he did
it, so can we.
We know that
the Lord wants us to be a light and salt to the world:
"You are
the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything,
except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither
do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
(Matthew
5:13-16)
Now we can spread
the gospel, by preparing hearts in hearing the 10 Commandments. We can become equipped and trained. Modern evangelism
has caused casualties among the sinners and the saints. Now, we can once again use the law the way Jesus
did, and the way Paul once did to conquer Satan's wicked ways. We can scatter seed.
How, then, can they call on
the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear
without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful
are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:14-15
Satan has been
hiding the keys to evangelism from the church in order for souls to be won for Christ. Let us take back what
he stole from us.
Charles Spurgeon called the 10 Commandments "Our ablest auxiliary" --
that is, our most powerful weapon.
Are
you ready? Are you a soldier of the Lord? Equip yourself for battle by studying the word of God.
